In May 2019 the Fund convened a think tank with senior professionals of Diaspora based academic institutions concerned with the training and accreditation of Jewish Educators. Also participating were senior professionals of relevant Israeli institutions and the staff of the Pincus Fund. The meeting took place at the Yehuda hotel, 13-16th May.
The eighteen participants included the senior professionals from seven diaspora institutions in six countries (Argentina, France, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine and the UK), together with representatives from four Israel-based institutions. Throughout the course of this meeting, the participants found common ground discussing the challenges their communities face in regards to supporting Jewish educators.
Participants considered the “Yehuda Forum” to be a great success. Thus, it was decided unanimously that the think tank should continue to meet throughout the year, both virtually and in-person, in order to discuss challenges and solutions to support Jewish education throughout the world.
