It’s that time of the year. Everywhere we go, at least within the United States, we hear Christmas music – sometimes written by a Jew- playing. Some of it is pretty catchy, but a lot of it isn’t the most enjoyable music out there. All of it can leave us and our students wondering, where is the Chanukah music?

No worries, we have plenty of music for our own holiday! We’ve compiled a list of 8 songs, one for each night of Chanukah, for you to show your students. Showing your students these music videos can be a great way for them to connect to their own culture, and the lyrics and videos also offer up excellent opportunities for learning.

Mattisyahu – Miracle

Dreidel Trap – Kosha Dillz and Meir Kay

Light Up the Night – The Fountainheads

Hanukkah Blessing – The Barenaked Ladies
