There’s a lot going on in the world these days – are you ready to make positive change? Let’s start by “Transforming Ourselves to Transform the World”.
Experience the world of professional Jewish outdoor engagement like never before at the third annual JOFEE Network Gathering.
Creating authentic, engaging, transformational, Jewish experience – it’s what we have been doing in the JOFEE space for more than 5 years, and it’s working! We’ve caught the attention of national Jewish leaders, funders, and environmental educators and now we’re partnering with them to bring you the 3rd JOFEE Network Gathering.
This October 11-14 some of the most innovative and contemplative national leaders from the Jewish renewal movement, Jewish environmental movement, JOFEE movement, and secular environmental education space will gather at Tamarack Camps for a one-of-a-kind community learning Shabbaton. The program will be held at Tamarack Camps in Ortonville, MI.
We will be highlighting local work in the Detroit-Metro area to create more sustainable Jewish community as well as learning from national leaders pioneering change through spiritual experiences around the world. This learning conference and Shabbaton include options for an immersive/residential weekend or commuter day-passes.
We will:
- Engage with pressing issues around sustainability, food systems, gender, and Jewish connections to the land.
- Dive deep into JOFEE teachings, wisdom, and emerging innovations.
- Explore Detroit and the surrounding area while learning from local leaders dedicated to reviving land and neighborhoods.
- Experience Shabbat together, as one community, in the beautiful woods of Tamarack Camps.
The JOFEE Network Gathering is the annual gathering place for thought leaders, enthusiasts, and program professionals throughout the Jewish Outdoor, Food, Farming and Environmental Education world. Explore new opportunities for networking, coalition-building, and hands-on activities to engage youth, young adults, families, and more with meaningful Jewish experiences. Our work is to repair the pieces of this broken world. Coming together is where we begin!
