Reclaiming Judaism is now accepting applicants for the second cohort of the Maggid-Educator Program, this Jewish Spiritual Education (JSE) training program reclaims the traditional role of Maggid as a master educator who inspires and guides the Jewish journeys of students of all ages. Trainees become professional sacred storytellers and guides, developing a repertoire of Jewish spiritual practices, including mitzvot that are paired with sacred and contemporary stories, text study, tikkkun olam and curriculum development, and a vital array of awareness practices drawn from the fields of mussar (ethical attributes), Inter-Play™ and Hashpa’ah (Jewish spiritual guidance). Participants come from across the full spectrum of Jewish life and all Jewish educational settings for all ages.

Maggid-Educator training is designed as a two-year certificate program or a three-year ordination training. Sessions given by a faculty of eight master teachers include live, interactive weekly video-conference classes, annual retreat intensives, regular face-to-face video conference field work supervision, and coaching in professional storytelling with our faculty of master teachers.
