The Journal of Jewish Education is delighted to announce its first annual award, an Article of the Year Award. The award will be presented at the NRJE annual conference and all articles published in the previous calendar year will be considered. The award of $1,000 will be given to the author(s) of the article that an independent committee of NRJE members will deem most worthy.

The following criteria will be used to judge this award:

  • Demonstrated intellectual rigor, well-argued and well-written
  • Employed methodology is appropriate to the research question
  • The subject contributes to the advancement of the field

It is hoped that this award will serve as a further incentive to researchers who are considering publishing through the Journal, the journal of record in Jewish Education for over 80 years. The first winner(s) of this award will be notified in May 2018 and will be presented with the award at the NRJE Annual Conference being held this year at George Washington University in Washington, DC on June 11-12, 2018.
