The Journal of Jewish Education has recently made access available at no cost to 3 articles that address issues of Jewish Education as they play out in Europe. The Journal, with support from YESOD, an initiative of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation and the Rothschild Foundation Europe, is making a concerted effort to include European concerns and voices in its quarterly issues.
Currently, the collection includes:
Exploring Anti-Semitism in the Classroom: A Case Study Among Norwegian Adolescents from Minority Backgrounds by Paul Thomas
Train Up a Child: On the Maskilic Attempt to Change the Habitus of Jewish Children and Young Adults by Zohar Shavit
“Do Not Turn a Deaf Ear or a Blind Eye on Me, as I Am Your Son”: New Conceptions of Childhood and Parenthood in 18th- and 19th-Century Jewish Letter-Writing Manuals by Tal Kogman
These articles will be available through mid-summer. To find them go to: http://explore.tandfonline.com/content/ah/editors-choice-journal-of-jewish-education
