The Jewish Women’s Archive is soliciting applications and nominations for the 2018 Natalia Twersky Educator Award. Presented annually, The Twersky Award honors educators who share JWA’s commitment to inspiring inclusivity in their communities by using primary sources creatively to elevate the stories of Jewish women. This work is vital, now more than ever.

The prizes:
The award provides $2,000 to the winning educator, and a second-place finalist receives $500. Winners also receive public recognition in all of JWA’s education and marketing communications.

The process:
Nominations and pre-applications can be submitted now; nominations are due March 4, 2018 and pre-applications are due by April 8, 2018 (applicants do not have to be nominated to apply). Selected applicants will be invited to submit additional materials, including samples of student work, during the summer of 2018. The winner and finalist will be announced in Fall 2018.
