A few months ago, the Jewish Teen Funders Network began a search for a new Director. After meeting many exceptional candidates, it is with great pleasure we introduce Wayne Green as the next Director of JTFN.
Wayne is a recent transplant from Melbourne, Australia, where he worked to build grassroots programs supporting social, health and community initiatives for youth and adults on a local, state and national level. Over the past 15 years, Wayne has worked to deliver innovative programming in London, New York, and around Australia. His commitment to Jewish values based engagement fits perfectly into the goals and missions of the Jewish Teen Funders Network.
Wayne made his move to New York in May when he was a 2017 recipient of the Australian Government’s competitive, merit-based Endeavour Executive Fellowship to undertake and build excellence in professional development and research with the Ali Forney Center in LGBTQ youth homelessness, health services, and organizational programming. Wayne strives to engage the next generation to make sustainable life choices that promote social justice, equality, and connected contribution through Jewish giving.
Wayne is eager to meet you and learn more about your programs, so reach out and say hello. Next week, Wayne will meet with 19 other American giving circle networks to brainstorm how we can increase the quality and quantity of giving circles nationwide. As we prepare for the convening, we are looking for bold ideas that benefit from collaboration with other giving circle networks. No idea is too big at this stage, and we welcome your thoughts.
